Cuyahoga Valley National Park. The Cuyahoga River, which flows through rolling forested hills and wetlands, is the centerpiece of Cuyahoga Valley National Park. Once known for its pollution, the river is now a symbol for how natural spaces can be restored through environmental protection efforts. Visitors can explore a network of hiking and biking trails, photograph waterfalls, take a ride on a scenic train, and visit a farmers market.
Cleveland. On the Southern shores of Lake Erie sits Cleveland, a city with a deep-rooted culture in the arts and sports. Attend a performance by the Cleveland Orchestra, one of the world’s best ensembles, and dive into the history of rock and roll music at the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame. Sports fans should also make the one-hour drive south to Akron to see the Pro Football Hall of Fame.
Cedar Point. Take a ride on world-class rollercoasters at this famous amusement park, located on Lake Erie in Sandusky. Put-in-Bay. Located on South Bass Island on Lake Erie, Put-in-Bay is a village known as a family-friendly vacation spot. Often called the “Key West of the North”, the downtown area buzzes with waterfront restaurants, bars, and live music. During the day visitors enjoy resort amenities, water-based activities on Lake Erie, and explore the island via golf cart.

The best time to visit Ohio is in the summer, from June through August. Visitors will have the warmest weather, which is great for outdoor activities and sightseeing around cities.
The spring season (April-May) and fall season (September-October) offer cooler, more pleasant temperatures that hikers may prefer. In addition, the spring season brings wildflowers, and the autumn season brings fall foliage.
