We are the Earth Trekkers, Tim, Julie, Tyler, and Kara, and we spent 13 months traveling around the world. During our journey, we traveled through 35 countries in Europe, Africa, Asia, Australia, and New Zealand.
Now, we balance careers (both Tim and I have jobs apart from running Earth Trekkers), school, sports, and owning a home with as much travel as possible. And we still manage to travel…a lot!
In total, we have visited over 60 countries on 6 continents. We know what it is like to only have 7 days available for vacation, but we also know what it is like to live out of a backpack for a year. We’ve done luxury travel, budget travel, and everything in between. We know what it is like to board an airplane with a two-year old, travel through Thailand with a peanut allergy, and what it is like to miss your kids when you go somewhere without them. We prefer to travel as a family, but Tim and I take many trips that are just the two of us.
