Best Time to Visit Georgia
The best time to visit Georgia is during the Spring (March-May) and Fall (September- November) seasons. Visitors will enjoy mild weather ideal for touring its cities, outdoor adventures, and hiking through Georgia’s state parks. You will also avoid the intense southern humidity that Georgia experiences during the summer months.
For fall colors, late October is usually the best time of year.
For the ultimate St. Patrick’s Day celebration, be sure to visit Savannah in mid-March. Savannah hosts one of the largest St. Patrick’s Day festivals in the world. During this time there is a huge parade, streets are packed with lively crowds, and the water in Forsyth Park’s historic fountain is dyed green.
